Festive Season 2024: How The Accela Team is Celebrating

The Accela team wishes everyone a wonderful festive season in 2024! As we wrap up this year and get ready for the next, we've gathered insights from the team on their most cherished memories from the holiday season and their plans for celebration this year.

Vicky Jones, Finance & Administration Coordinator
My most unique dish for the holidays? Not really unique, maybe very British? On boxing day we always have Gammon, Egg, Mash and pickles for dinner.
My favourite holiday memory is having Mickey Mouse call our son’s on Xmas Day morning to tell them they were off to Disneyland Paris for New Year a few years ago. Their little faces were a picture 😊
The week before Christmas this year, we are headed to Sweden to visit the festive markets of Stockholm and ticking off a bucket list item of staying at the Ice Hotel.

Lydia Lee, Senior HR Specialist
My most unique dish for the holidays – not so much a dish, but I love the Christmas festive buffets! So much going on, and always enjoyable!
My family’s not huge on the Christmas holidays, so I’m looking forward to all the friend gatherings – the weekends are getting packed 😲
I’ll be celebrating the holidays this year with friends, food, and fun!

Savitha Raman, Senior Finance and Corporate Services Manager
I will be baking Red Velvet Cake this year, as it has been on my bucket list for quite a while.
My favourite Holiday memory is when my son opens his packages of gifts and his expressions make my favourite Holiday memory.
My parents are visiting us this year and we are planning to spend the holidays with them.

Jean Ho, Talent & Operations Executive
My favourite holiday dish is an apple strudel cake. It’s a special treat I grew up with, and it’s now a cherished Christmas tradition and memory for me.
One of my favourite holiday memories is when my family and I would travel to colder countries during Christmas. It was such a vibe, and I loved it. As I got older, I stopped travelling with my family and now spend the holidays with my partner.
This year, I don't have any travel plans for Christmas, but I’m looking forward to spending more quality time with my family and creating new memories together.

Rocco Nikhil Ahuja, Corporate Secretarial Consultant
Dark chocolate chip cookies is my most unique dish for the holidays
My favourite holiday memory is setting up the Christmas tree with decorations.
This year, I’ll be linking up with my sister and her family in Abu Dhabi (first time for all of us) who will be flying in from the UK.

Deeksha Bhatnagar, Finance Manager
Christmas is a time of joy, love, and cherished memories.  One of my most treasured holiday memories is celebrating Christmas in Paris with my husband, where the city was beautifully adorned with festive lights and the atmosphere was magical. We enjoyed the enchanting sights of the Eiffel Tower and the charming Christmas markets.
This year, our Christmas celebration will blend traditional Indian customs with festive Christmas traditions. I will be visiting my family, and we will celebrate with my mom, sisters, brothers, and extended family. Our home will be decorated with twinkling lights and a beautifully adorned Christmas tree. We will exchange gifts and create new memories together.
The highlight of our feast will be the rich and moist Rum Cake, which is my favourite.
