Accela Group was lucky enough to add a great group of new people to the team last year, and has a few new faces to kick off the year, too. We’re excited to introduce them here:

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT MY ROLE IS... learning more and making meaningful connections.

IN MY FREE TIME YOU’LL FIND ME… reading and watching TV shows! On the days where the sun is shining I like to take walks or skate around.

SOMETHING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IS… Coffee and Matcha, a day without caffeine leaves me groggy and grouchy.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT MY ROLE IS...  stepping outside of my comfort zone and into a different sector of the media industry than what I am used to. I am also really looking forward to discovering as well as offering ideas and solutions to a diverse range of brands.

IN MY FREE TIME YOU’ll FIND ME… either doing a fitness class at a studio or nothing at the beach! I am very passionate about the two.

SOMETHING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IS… my Polaroid camera: l love being able to create tangible reminders of various moments in my life.

Ellarie Ang, Finance Coordinator, Accela Finance

MY JOB TITLE MEANS I...  support the Finance team with tasks like account reconciliation, sales and expense recording and cash management and payments. 

WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT MY ROLE IS… learning and applying my accounting skills to the real-world.

IN MY FREE TIME YOU’LL FIND ME… learning K-Pop dances and filming TikTok videos because I enjoy being in front of the camera!

Louisa Meredith, Director of Finance, Accela Finance

MY JOB TITLE MEANS I...  

I am responsible for the Finance and Corporate Secretary teams, and I also focus on business development for the vertical.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT MY ROLE IS… building relationships with clients and colleagues.

IN MY FREE TIME YOU’LL FIND ME… spending time with my family, playing tennis or working on my social enterprise, This Red Thread. 

WOW THAT SOUNDS COOL, CAN YOU TELL US MORE? I teamed up with a charity in Kathmandu over Singapore’s Circuit Breaker, which rescues girls who have been sold to brothels in India and Nepal and gives them an opportunity to work. I sell the fabric they make as a sustainable alternative to wrapping paper, with the proceeds going straight back to the charity.

Xuanling Tan, Finance Coordinator, Accela Finance

MY JOB TITLE MEANS I...  help the team provide operational finance and administration services to clients, such as account reconciliation and payroll processing.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT MY ROLE IS… the hands-on experience of doing actual accounting, where I get to put my academic learning to real use. I am also excited to start helping clients solve their business problems, and to gain greater exposure in this sector. 

IN MY FREE TIME YOU’LL FIND ME… cafe-hopping with friends, going on random walks or just spending time with my family at home.
